MISSION STATEMENT:
BIG ART SHOW gives local, unknown, and independent artists an opportunity
to perform and display their work to their peers and to the public. It is
run by a collective of artists and volunteers based out of the greater
Philadelphia area, BIG ART SHOW is driven by a passion to create an
environment devoid of the pressures and insincerities of the public media.
BIG ART SHOW creates community both locally and nationally by having
traveling art events which invite artists from any location to display
their work, attend the shows, and network with other artists. Similarly,
BIG ART SHOW provides an opportunity in which lesser-known musicians can
play in front of a larger and more varied audience.
BIG ART SHOW does not charge a fee for artists to show their work, nor is
a commission taken on sold work. We are constantly striving to create new
outlets for artists and musicians to be able to grow in their art form.

WHAT WE DO WHEN WE COME TO YOUR VENUE:
BIG ART SHOW is an all-inclusive multi-media event that can happen
in any type or size of venue; we book the artists, bands, and djs,
as well as provide everything that is needed for the display of artwork.
We create a suitable environment for exhibiting art in any location
through the use of displays (essentially, we build temporary walls
using metal grids) and lighting.
We have a vast network of artists and volunteers that reaches across
the country. We utilize this to recruit artists and musicians for
our shows and to spread the word of our events via local media and
flyer distribution. We have held over 50 highly successful events
over the last 4 years and are on our way to becoming an official non-profit
501(c)3. We strive to bring community and positive attention to anywhere
we bring the show.
